SUN Program

Welcome to our College of Education Self-care Initiative, informally called Self-care for U at Northridge, the SUN Program.

It is so wonderful that you are considering self-care as an important way to care for yourself and keep balance and health in your life. Self-care means taking responsibility for yourself to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle at work and in your personal world through individually determined, proactive activities. You are at your best when you attend to yourself in equal measure to others in day-to-day living!

COE Self-Care Activities Week Twelve

As we approach the end of fall semester, our final self-care meditation session focuses on relaxation and stress reduction this Tuesday, Nov. 29th, from 2-2:30 in the CTL conference room. In the spring, we will return with a number of great presentations, including nutrition, traditional Asian health practices, sustainability, native plant gardening, meditation, and travel tips for self-care.   Read more

COE Self-Care Activities Week Eleven

This week, we dedicate our self-care time to meditation as we continue to offer support during this difficult time for so many. There will be two meditation and stress reduction sessions for faculty and staff this Tuesday: the first from 12:15-12:45 in Ed 1214 will focus on relaxation and stress reduction and the second from 2-2:30 in the CTL conference room, which will focus on on relaxation and compassion during difficult times.
