COE Self-Care Activities Week Twelve

November 28, 2016

Dear COE Staff and Faculty,

This week, our self-care activity is a meditation session this Tuesday, Nov. 29th, from 2-2:30 in the CTL conference room on the first floor of the COE. This meditation session will focus on relaxation and stress reduction. This is the last week of our regular self-care activities for the fall semester. In the spring, we will return to a number of great presentations, including nutrition, traditional Asian health practices, sustainability, meditation, and travel tips for self-care.  Please let me know if there is an area that you are especially interested in for future self-care presentations and activities. And thanks to everyone who engaged in self-care activities this fall!

Also of note is a campus-wide level of self-care open forum tomorrow, Weds. Nov. 29th, at the USU Grand Salon from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. for faculty and students to discuss the impact of this election and how to deal with it.  In addition, our college is planning open forums for faculty and students to discuss post election impact, hosted by Equity and Student Affairs, with support from Faculty Council and Equity and Faculty Affairs. Details will be emailed soon. We continue to encourage faculty to support students and each other to deal with this challenging time.

Stay tuned for an email announcement in late January about the COE spring semester Faculty and Staff Self-Care presentations and activities. And as always, please check the Sun self-care website for more information.

Have a wonderful Holiday filled with much relaxation and self-care!

Warmly,

Shari
