SUN Program

Welcome to our College of Education Self-care Initiative, informally called Self-care for U at Northridge, the SUN Program.

It is so wonderful that you are considering self-care as an important way to care for yourself and keep balance and health in your life. Self-care means taking responsibility for yourself to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle at work and in your personal world through individually determined, proactive activities. You are at your best when you attend to yourself in equal measure to others in day-to-day living!

COE Self-Care Activities Week Five

Self-care this week includes our Walk to Lunch Mondays today from 12:15-12:45, then tomorrow--March 1st from 12-1--is the BACK To THE (sustainable) GARDEN presentation by the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants, and afterward from 2:00 to 2:30 pm will be a Journey into Mindfulness and Meditation session!  Read more

The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) kicks off this Friday, Feb 12! You don't have to be an expert birdwatcher to participate in this relaxing self-care activity. All you have to do is spend at least 15 minutes observing the birds in your own backyard or another location of your choice. Read more
