SUN Program

Welcome to our College of Education Self-care Initiative, informally called Self-care for U at Northridge, the SUN Program.

It is so wonderful that you are considering self-care as an important way to care for yourself and keep balance and health in your life. Self-care means taking responsibility for yourself to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle at work and in your personal world through individually determined, proactive activities. You are at your best when you attend to yourself in equal measure to others in day-to-day living!

COE Self-Care Activities Fall 2019 - Week 8

We hope everyone was able to remain safe during this stressful time of the Saddleridge fire, and our hearts go out to those who were especially affected. We have a variety of resources to support faculty and staff who have been impacted by this fire. Additionally, these are the times when we especially need to take care of ourselves! Our college has so many ways for us to come together and share in great activities this week, including: a presentation on “Interrupting Bias”; Education on the Edge with 2012 National Teacher of the Year, Rebecca Mieliwocki; our All College meeting with a celebration of the life of Sally Spencer, meeting our provost, and sharing of our recent accomplishments with the President; and our fall student back to school welcome event.
