CSUN freshman Nicole Tanoue had a record-setting day as she finished third at 9-under 207 in her collegiate debut, leading the Matadors to a 14th-place finish at the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational. Tanoue broke both the school’s single-round and 54-hole scoring records, and her performance helped CSUN set a new program record for a 54-hole score. Despite the team’s improvement throughout the tournament, Grand Canyon University took home the team title. CSUN’s Antoine Sale Impresses in Debut at Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

Antoine Sale impressed in his debut for CSUN, finishing in the top 10 at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational. CSUN secured an eighth-place finish as a team with a strong final round score of 3-over 291. The team tied for eighth with a total score of 10-over 874. Colorado State took home the team championship, while Sale, a transfer from Minnesota, recorded his first top 10 finish as a Matador. CSUN coach Jim Bracken praised Sale’s performance and is optimistic about the team’s potential for the season. -- BVM Sports

Kidz Bop Kids headed to Bloomington for November show

Ross Bagley made his breakout role in "The Little Rascals" as the adorable Buckwheat. (You might remember his celebratory tune: "We got a dollar, we got a dollar, we got a dollar/ Hey, hey, hey, hey!") But his most recognizable role remains Nicky on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." He left acting to attend California State University, Northridge, where he studied cinema and television arts. "I wanted to live a more normal type of life," he said in an interview with Hip Hop Uncensored. "At the height of 'Fresh Prince,' I would be getting chased out of malls." CSUN Men’s Golf Team Improves Performance in Second Round of Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

The CSUN men’s golf team improved in the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, moving up to seventh place. Antoine Sale had a strong round, finishing 2-under par and moving into the top 20. The team shot a 2-under par 286 to improve from eighth place to seventh. New Mexico State, Colorado State, and UC Davis are currently leading the tournament. CSUN players Brandon McDonough, Felix Schrott, Thomas Burou, Eirik Thomassen, Dillon Jonke, and Liam Judkins are also performing well in the individual tournament. Head Coach Jim Bracken is pleased with the team’s progress and is hopeful for a strong finish in the final round. -- BVM Sports

CSUN Freshman Nicole Tanoue Tied for Second Place at Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational

CSUN freshman Nicole Tanoue is tied for second place after two rounds of the Timpanogos Collegiate Invitational at Timpanogos Golf Club. Tanoue shot a First-round 65, followed by a 2-under 70 in the second round, totaling 9-under 135. The CSUN team is currently 13th out of 19 teams, improving their score to 588 after shooting 5-over 293 in the second round. Grand Canyon is leading the tournament with a score of 559. CSUN’s Elle Laur also had a strong round, shooting a 2-under 70. Coach Michelle Winkler expressed confidence in the team’s performance for the final round. -- BVM Sports
