SUN Program

Welcome to our College of Education Self-care Initiative, informally called Self-care for U at Northridge, the SUN Program.

It is so wonderful that you are considering self-care as an important way to care for yourself and keep balance and health in your life. Self-care means taking responsibility for yourself to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle at work and in your personal world through individually determined, proactive activities. You are at your best when you attend to yourself in equal measure to others in day-to-day living!

COE Self-Care Activities Week 14

This week we offer our regular self-care meditation session with Josh Einhorn on Wednesday, November 28th, from 1-1:30 in the CTL conference room. And please plan on attending a special event next week on Tuesday, Dec. 4th from 12-1, in the TLCC library on mindful meditation and sound with David Boyns, Director, CSUN Institute for Community Health and Wellbeing. This week we continue our fall meditation theme with a presentation by Josh Einhorn on “Meditation and Taste: Eating Mindfully during the Holidays” on Tuesday, November 6th, from 12-1PM in Ed 1214/1216. This presentation includes a wonderful Thanksgiving feast, so please join us! In addition, we will offer our regular meditation session this Wednesday, November 7th, from 1-1:30 in the CTL conference room.
