Dr. Dorssom earned a Political Science PhD in American Politics and Public Policy and Administration from the Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Missouri. Prior to receiving her PhD, Dr. Dorssom received a BA in Women’s Studies from Chatham University and an MPA in Public Sector Management and Leadership from California State University-Northridge. Statewide Bill AB 2507 to Tackle Student Debt Crisis by Piloting an Interest-Free, Fee-Free Student Loan Program with Jewish Free Loan Association Close to Becoming Law
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 7, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move to address the escalating student debt crisis, California has introduced AB 2507, an innovative solution designed to alleviate the financial burdens of higher education. If successful, this landmark legislation will establish an interest-free, no fee student loan program for California, in collaboration with the Jewish Free Loan Association (JFLA), to provide relief to thousands of students. The program will be piloted in Southern California at UCLA, CSU Northridge, and Glendale Community College.
