CSUN Men’s Golf Ready for Postseason at National Golf Invitational
CSUN's men's golf team will compete in its first postseason since 2000, opening the GOLFWEEK National Golf Invitational at Ak-Shin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Ariz. The 54-hole tournament, running Friday through Sunday, features ten teams, including Belmont, Butler, and Washington State. The event follows a traditional college team format with five players per team and scoring based on the best four rounds. Jalen Phillips: CSUN Standout Named Off the Block Freshman All-American
CSUN opposite Jalen Phillips has been named to the Off the Block's 11-player Freshman All-America Team for 2024. This honor recognizes the top NCAA Division I-II men's volleyball freshmen across the nation, selected through votes from a committee of over 20 coaches and media members. Phillips excelled in his debut season, after redshirting in 2023, finishing second on the team with 340 kills and an impressive hitting percentage of .293 on 702 attacks. -- BVM Sports
UCLA track and field coach Avery Anderson announces retirement
Anderson’s coaching career also included stops at Cal State Northridge and Kansas State after a college career as a dual-sport athlete at UCLA.
