CSUN opposite Jalen Phillips has been named to the Off the Block's 11-player Freshman All-America Team for 2024. This honor recognizes the top NCAA Division I-II men's volleyball freshmen across the nation, selected through votes from a committee of over 20 coaches and media members. Phillips excelled in his debut season, after redshirting in 2023, finishing second on the team with 340 kills and an impressive hitting percentage of .293 on 702 attacks.
