Infractions Appeals Committee vacates penalties for CSUN men’s basketball, remands case

The NCAA Division I Infractions Appeals Committee vacated some of the prescribed penalties issued by the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions in the California State University, Northridge men's basketball case. The Infractions Appeals Committee remanded the case to the Committee on Infractions for reassessment of the case classification and the appropriate resulting penalties. -- NCAA

But the reality is, Williams has been thinking about making this move for several years. At first, it was just whispers. But it kept getting louder. It was one of the reasons he brought Goulding on board as an assistant coach prior to the 2021 season. After playing for Williams in 2010 and 2011, Goulding transferred to University of Texas-Pan American to finish up his playing career. CSUN Men’s Soccer Starts Big West play with Home Matches against Cal State Fullerton and CSUB

CSUN Men’s Soccer team is set to open their Big West Conference play this week with two home matches. They will face off against Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday and Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday. Cal State Fullerton has had a strong non-conference season with a 6-2-2 record and is unbeaten in their previous seven matches. On the other hand, Cal State Bakersfield, considered underdogs, is surprising everyone with a 4-1-3 record. CSUN has a winning record against both teams and will look to continue their success. CSUN women’s volleyball team to host UC Riverside and UC Davis in four-match homestand

CSUN women’s volleyball team returns home to open a season-long, four-match homestand. They will face the UC Riverside Highlanders on Friday and the UC Davis Aggies on Saturday. CSUN is looking to improve their conference record after falling at Cal State Bakersfield and Hawaii in previous matches. Fans can follow the Matadors online and watch the matches live on ESPN+. UC Riverside has snapped a three-match losing streak and recorded their second-highest hitting percentage of the season. CSUN women’s volleyball team falls to Hawai’i in straight sets

CSUN women’s volleyball team struggles offensively and drops a straight-set decision at Hawai’i in a Big West match. Despite the efforts of Perri Starkey, Iye Okolo, and Carisa Barron, who each had a team-high four kills, CSUN’s offense struggled throughout the match. The host Rainbow Wahine dominated with a .402 hitting percentage, while CSUN hit -.035 as a team. Additionally, CSUN did not record a block, and Hawai’i had a 32-23 advantage in digs. CSUN Women’s Basketball Adds Ramia Griffin to Coaching Staff

California State University, Northridge head women’s basketball coach Carlene Mitchell has hired Ramia Griffin as the Matadors’ director of basketball operations. She will also serve as the video coordinator for the CSUN program. -- SCV News

CSUN Women’s Soccer battles UC Davis to a scoreless draw in hard-fought matchup

CSUN Women’s Soccer and UC Davis battled to a scoreless draw in a hard-fought game. Goalkeeper Hayden Mauldin had an impressive performance, making seven saves and securing her second shutout of the season. Despite UC Davis generating more shots, CSUN withstood the pressure and created scoring opportunities of their own. The match had its moments of excitement, including a close call for CSUN where a shot hit the crossbar but was ruled to not have crossed the line. CSUN Falls 4-0 at No. 5 Portland

PORTLAND, Ore.— No. 5 Portland defeated CSUN 4-0 Thursday night in men’s soccer action at Merlo Field in the Clive Charles Soccer Complex.
