In a Big West match, the CSUN Matadors secured a 3-1 victory over Cal State Bakersfield, putting an end to their three-match losing streak. Sophomore Leah Miller had a standout performance with a season-high 21 kills, hitting .450. Perri Starkey also contributed significantly with 17 kills and 18 digs, completing her seventh double-double of the season. Setter Carisa Barron recorded 29 assists, 11 digs, and nine kills, earning her eighth double-double of the season. CSUN outperformed Bakersfield in hitting percentage and team digs. CSUN Releases Spring Tennis Schedule
California State University, Northridge women’s tennis head coach Gary Victor has released the 2024 spring schedule set to kick off Friday, Jan. 19. During the season, the Matadors will face a total of four NCAA Tournament teams along with the always competitive Big West slate. -- SCV News

CSUN Women’s Soccer wrapped up their season with a 0-0 draw against UC Riverside. In her first career start, Kennedy Williams had three saves and secured her first shutout. Despite being outshot by UCR, CSUN showed strong defensive organization and created decent scoring opportunities. The match marked the final game for the six-member senior class, with Coach Christine Johnson praising the team’s progress and their ability to end the season on a positive note. The CSUN women’s volleyball team is gearing up for two important matches this week as they welcome Cal State Bakersfield and Hawai’i to Premier America Credit Union Arena. CSUN (4-17, 2-8 Big West) will first face off against Cal State Bakersfield on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. PDT, followed by a match against Hawai’i on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. PDT. Despite a tough season so far, the Matadors are looking to turn things around and secure much-needed wins. Cal State Bakersfield (6-16, 2-8 Big West) and Hawai’i (15-6, 8-2 Big West) will provide tough competition, but CSUN is determined to come out victorious. CSUN Women’s Soccer Concludes Season with Home Match Against UC Riverside
CSUN Women’s Soccer will conclude their 2023 season with a home match against UC Riverside on Thursday night. Last week, the Matadors were eliminated from the Big West tournament after a high-scoring loss to UC San Diego. CSUN fought back with three goals, but ultimately fell short. They then had an emotional Senior Day match against UC Irvine, which ended in a 0-0 draw. CSUN’s six seniors, including Kacie Garrity and Ashley Cruz, will play their final games for the team. Izabel Reyes has had a standout season with five goals, placing her sixth in the Big West. CSUN has dominated past meetings with UC Riverside, winning the last seven matchups. -- BVM Sports
Zack Harris Collects Big West Freshman of the Week Honors
NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—CSUN Men’s Soccer’s Zack Harris earned his first career Big West Freshman of the Week award, the league office announced Monday. Harris helped CSUN earn a 2-2 draw with UC Santa Barbara, netting a pair of goals. 2023 Kā‘anapali Classic tees off to support Maui wildfire victims
Dillon Jonke, who graduated in spring 2023 from Maui Preparatory Academy, will reunite with family and friends on Maui for the first time since he left for Cal State Northridge in early August, just days after the Maui wildfires. Jonke was a key contributor on Maui Prep’s 2022 Hawai’i High School Athletic Association championship team, placing as the individual runner-up at the Kā’anapali Golf Courses’ hosted event. -- Lahaina News
