California Studies has emerged as a growing subfield within the social sciences and humanities.  Geography, History, Literature, Political Science, and other disciplines have come together to create an interdisciplinary field of study with California as the focal point, and with numerous units of analysis.  The links below provide a starting point into the rich literature on California, as well as several California Studies Centers -- each with rich resources of their own.
