Membership Options at the SRC
SRC Memberships for CSUN Students, Faculty and Staff
The Student Recreation Center of the University Student Union is a world-class fitness facility with something for everyone. As a currently enrolled CSUN student, your membership is already included in your campus fees. Whether you join us as a student, alumni, faculty or staff member, we want to say — Welcome to Team SRC!
Memberships
A Student member is defined as a person who is in enrolled in any units at CSUN.
If you are eligible for the Student membership, the membership fee is included in your campus fees.
To obtain the Student membership, students must:
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.

Each student must know their CSUN user ID, CSUN ID number and password to register. Please have this information ready when registering.
Once registered, it’s easy to access the facility as follows:
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
A Continuing Student is defined as any student who was enrolled in the previous semester.
All eligible persons must be 18 years of age or older.
To obtain the Continuing Student membership and access the facility, students must:
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.
- Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.
This can be done at the membership desk located in the front lobby.
Each student must know their CSUN user ID, CSUN ID number and password to register. Please have this information ready when registering.
Once registered, access the facility as follows:
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
A First-Time Student is defined as any student enrolled in classes for the first time at the university level. This eligibility is applied only during the summer semester immediately preceding their first semester of fall classes.
All eligible persons must be 18 years of age or older.
To obtain the First-Time Student membership, students must:
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.
- Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.
This can be done at the membership desk located in the front lobby.
Each student must know their CSUN user ID, CSUN ID number and password to register. Please have this information ready when registering.

- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
A Tseng College student is defined as a person who is enrolled in classes through the Tseng College at CSUN.
CSUN Students enrolled through the Tseng College do not pay the University Student Union campus fee, which includes the SRC & Oasis membership access fee. Therefore, Tseng College students must purchase a membership to utilize the SRC & Oasis facilities, programs and services.
To obtain the Tseng College membership, students must:
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.
- Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.
This can be done at the membership desk located in the front lobby.
Students must know their CSUN user ID, CSUN ID number and password to register. Please have this information ready when registering.
Once registered, access the facility as follows:
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
A Faculty/Staff member is defined as a person who is currently employed as an administrator, faculty, or staff member at CSUN or who is a recognized emeritus member.
All eligible persons must be 18 years of age or older.
To obtain the Faculty/Staff membership, customers must:
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.
- Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.
This can be done at the membership desk located in the front lobby.
Faculty/Staff must know their CSUN user ID, CSUN ID number and password to register. Please have this information ready when registering.
Once registered, access the facility as follows:
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
Payroll Deduction
Payroll Deduction is now available to full-time CSUN employees who receive 12 paychecks per year.
Interested faculty/staff can enroll in payroll deduction by visiting the front desk of the SRC to fill out the Payroll Deduction Authorization Form. A confidential envelope will then be provided and turned into the Membership Coordinator.
The membership may take up to 10 business days to become active if application is received by that month’s deadline. Late applications are not guaranteed membership validation by the following pay period.
Lunchtime Express
The SRC offers several Lunchtime Express Group Exercise classes to all faculty and staff. These classes are free and you do not have to have an SRC membership to participate. Come join SRC members on your lunch break every Tuesday and Thursday to pursue your wellness goals. Find out more about the Lunchtime Express program.
An Alumni member is defined as a person who was previously enrolled at CSUN but who is no longer enrolled in classes.
All eligible persons must be 18 years of age or older.
To obtain the Alumni membership, customers must:
- Provide documentation proving past enrollment at CSUN with an official or unofficial transcript.
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.
- Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.
This can be done at the membership desk located in the front lobby.
Once registered, access the facility as follows:
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
An Alumni Association member is defined as any person who belonged to the Alumni Association between January 26, 2012 and July 1, 2020 and purchased an SRC membership during that period.
All eligible persons must be 18 years of age or older.
To obtain the Alumni Association membership, customers must:
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.
- Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.
This can be done at the membership desk located in the front lobby.
Please Note: Those who belonged to the Alumni Association between January 26, 2012 and July 1, 2020 and purchased an SRC membership will be grandfathered in and will remain eligible, and will already have a Fusion profile and Raiser’s Edge or CSUN ID number assigned to their member profile. Those without a Fusion profile are not eligible for an SRC membership. Once eligibility is verified, membership can then be purchased.
Once registered, access the facility as follows:
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
A Sponsored Adult member is defined as a spouse or domestic partner of a current SRC member.
All eligible persons must be 18 years of age or older.
To obtain the Sponsored Adult membership, customers must:
- Provide verification of relationship: evidence of stated legal status (i.e. copy of official marriage license or certification of domestic partnership from your respective secretary of state office or the city/country where you reside) is required.
- Download the CSUN Student Recreation Center app on iOS or Android.
- Select the registration icon in the app and login with your CSUN Username and Password to accept the terms of the SRC Waiver.
- Purchase a membership, which will allow access to the facility.
This can be done at the membership desk located in the front lobby.
Sponsored adult members will have access to all of the SRC’s facilities as well as programing with the exception of Intramural Sports program.
Once registered, access the facility as follows:
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
Passes
Individuals who wish to access the facility for one day.
- All guests must be at least 14 years of age.
- SRC members sponsoring guests must remain in the SRC at all times during their guest’s use.
- Guests 14 to 15 years of age must be accompanied by their sponsor in the same activity area at all times.
- Guests 16 years of age or older may utilize fitness equipment and participate in all programming with the exception of Intramural Sports program.
Those who wish to purchase a guest pass may do so at the SRC front desk by:
- Having a current SRC member as a sponsor present. Each SRC member may sponsor one guest per day.
- Those eligible for an SRC membership or who are visiting scholars may purchase a Guest Pass without the sponsorship of an SRC member.
- Enroll by accepting the SRC’s Guidelines and Waiver in the SRC app or at the SRC front desk.

- Purchasing a pass.
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
- Redeeming the guest pass at the access desk.
Guest passes allow access to the entire SRC facility as well as non-fee based programs for one day.
A Plaza Pool Pass is required for individuals who wish to utilize the Plaza Pool.
Plaza Pool users must purchase a Plaza Pool Pass at the front desk located in the lobby of the SRC
Spectators are individuals who wish to access the facility solely to observe a special event, children's swim lesson or Intramural Sports activity.
All spectators under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Those who wish to purchase a Spectator Pass may do so at the front desk by:
- Enroll by accepting the SRC’s Guidelines and Waiver in the SRC app or at the SRC front desk.
- Providing at least one form of contact (email address/phone number).
- Purchasing the pass.
- Use the CSUN Student Recreation Center app to access the facility with a mobile device by scanning your barcode ID.
- Leaving a photo ID with the membership services assistant in exchange for a spectator wristband.
- Redeeming the Spectator Pass at the access desk.
Note: Spectators can retrieve their photo ID at the completion of their visit free of charge if the wristband is still intact. If the wristband is not intact, the spectator will be required to pay the guest pass fee in order to retrieve their photo ID. Parents/guardians of minor spectators will be required to leave their photo ID in order for the minor(s) to obtain a spectator wristband.

**CSUN Students enrolled through the Tseng College do not pay the University Student Union campus fee, which includes the SRC & Oasis membership access fee. Therefore, Tseng College students must purchase a membership to utilize the SRC & Oasis facilities, programs and services.
Membership rates do not include all programs and services. Certain fees may be charged when applicable.
The student rate was determined by a referendum in 2007. It is included in each student’s campus fees and provided here for informational purposes only.

Dependent Hours
Dependent Hours are frequently available for customers who are dependents, 18 years of age or younger, of current SRC members.
- All dependents must present a birth certificate that includes the parent’s name or legal proof of guardianship to verify eligibility to use the SRC and participate in Dependent Hours.
- Dependents of SRC members who wish to participate in Dependent Hours must have the parent or guardian members complete and sign a hard copy of the SRC’s Guidelines and Waiver for each dependent.
- Dependents who are 18 years of age will be required to sign their own printed copy of the SRC Guidelines and Waiver forms.
- Dependents under 16 years of age must be accompanied by the parent or guardian in the same activity area.
- Dependent members ages 16 to 18 may utilize fitness equipment and participate in all programming with the exception of Intramural Sports.
- SRC Members sponsoring dependents 16 to 18 for Dependent Hours must remain in the SRC at all times during their use.
- Once eligibility is verified, a free Dependent Hours pass will be obtained and the customer will be granted access to the facility.
- Dependent hours will be held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and other specified days/times throughout the year as identified by the SRC management. All Dependent Hours are subject to change and/or cancellation.
