The CSUN Basic Needs Office provides support and resources, including food and emergency housing and financial resources. Our programs are designed to support our students’ needs by connecting them to on-campus and community resources that will help students stay focused on their studies and remove potential barriers to success.

Our programs include: CSUN Food Pantry, CalFresh Outreach, CalFresh Healthy Living, Temporary Emergency Housing, Emergency Housing Grants, and Housing Navigation. Our goal is to assist our students in receiving the support needed to be successful on their academic journey, and ultimately, to graduate!

Individuals may visit the CSUN Food Pantry ONCE per week and at each visit they receive a week’s worth of food. Toiletries are available upon request.

CalFresh appointments can be made through the CSUN CalFresh Outreach YouCanBookMe profile or by visiting the CSUN Food Pantry during operational hours. CalFresh is a nutrition assistance program that helps individuals and families buy the food they need.
