July 2023

Happy summer! It is a busy time here at the Center on Disabilities as we build the foundation for a very exciting 2024 CSUN Conference. Keep reading for highlights, engagement opportunities, and calendar reminders.

HAPPY 33RD TO THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT

To celebrate the ADA’s 33rd birthday, travel back in time with us to the 36th CSUN AT Conference (our virtual conference year). Let’s revisit an extremely memorable and insightful 2021 Keynote Address from Tony Coelho, the primary author and sponsor of the Americans with Disabilities Act!

“Tony’s Keynote Address commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the ADA is a reminder of how far we’ve come. On this anniversary, I am reflecting on all that has been accomplished but also the work that remains. I find myself continuously inspired and excited by all of the work being done by our colleagues and look forward to the many advances and innovations to come!” says Julia Santiago, Interim Managing Director for the Center on Disabilities.
