37th Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference Has Concluded

October 2021

HERE’S THE LATEST PRESENTER NEWS

Things are really starting to gear up in our planning. We received hundreds of great proposals for both the General and Journal session tracks at the Conference. Submissions are currently under review, and acceptance announcements will go out in time for Presenter Registration on November 2.

Just so you know, we’re extending Presenter Registration until Thursday, January 6, 2022. This will give accepted Presenters more time to solidify their plans to present and attend.

To assist presenters and improve attendees’ experience, we’ve put together some practical tips on making accessible slides and best practices for presenting. Whether you are a first-time or seasoned presenter, make sure to check out our Tips for Presenters for helpful information, guidelines for presenting at the CSUN Conference, and to remind you to include accessibility in your presentation.

WHAT’S NEW

If you haven’t noticed, we have a new schedule for the 2022 Conference.

Most notably, the Conference now starts on Tuesday morning when the Keynote Address Program kicks off the full schedule. For those of you who will be arriving on Monday, there will be a special kick-off social reception. For other schedule highlights, check out the Conference Overview on the Conference website.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT

We are honored to announce that the Keynote Speaker for the 2022 CSUN Conference will be Mike Paciello, a pioneer in the accessibility industry. He has an inspiring talk planned around the digital age, human interaction and the critical keys needed to insure optimal user experience for people with disabilities. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again at the Conference and hope you will join us Tuesday morning, March 15, at the Keynote Address, which will be both in-person and live-streamed. For more details about the Keynote Address program, including this year’s Strache Award recipient, visit our Conference Overview.

HOTEL ROOM BLOCK

The hotel room block for the Conference is officially open. We are pleased to tell you that we have negotiated a reduced room rate so everyone can stay at the official CSUN Conference hotel, the Anaheim Marriott.  More details are available on the Venue page on the Conference website.  Make sure to book your rooms early before they sell out! The room block closes on Saturday, February 22.
