CSUN Women’s Volleyball: Season Finale Loss and Senior Celebration

CSUN women’s volleyball team falls to Cal State Fullerton in their season finale, with Fullerton triumphing in four sets in a Big West match. The Matadors celebrated seniors Taylor Hunter, Kelsey Knudsen, Perri Starkey, and Taylor Orshoff before the game, with Hunter and Starkey combining for 27 kills. Despite their efforts, Fullerton claimed their first Big West win of the season and outperformed CSUN in hitting percentage, blocks, and digs. The Matadors showed promise in the second and third sets but were ultimately outscored in the final set, ending their season with a four-set loss. -- BVM Sports

EXCLUSIVE: Cheech Marin on Tommy Chong Raided by Feds, Did 9 Months in Prison

Legendary comedian and actor, Cheech Marin, popularly known for being one-half of the comedy duo Cheech & Chong, spoke about Tommy Chong being arrested after a federal raid. Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Marin acknowledged his early life in the city during the fifties and sixties, recounting his move from a neighborhood which was 94% black to Granada Hills, which he humorously characterized as 150% white. Marin also revealed the origin of his nickname, Cheech, coined by his uncle Bono upon his birth. Coming from a Mexican background, but growing up predominantly English-speaking, the comedian admitted to working on his Spanish later on in adulthood, aided by frequent trips to Costa Rica. Given his father was a policeman, he had a relatively law-abiding upbringing and went on to graduate from San Fernando Valley State College at Cal State Northridge. -- VladTV
