Appendix B: Features Table

  
The following table lists some basic word processing features and the menu bar selections you make to access them. A feature that is accessible from the Standard Toolbar is followed by the symbol •; from the Formatting Toolbar, by the symbol ¤ . If the feature is described elsewhere in this training guide, there is a link to the appropriate section. For features that are not covered in this document, use the Help feature for additional information.

Note that to apply some features to a section of text you must first “click and drag” the mouse pointer over the section of text to highlight (i.e., block/select) it, then choose (click) the feature desired. Also note that, if no text is selected, many formatting features automatically apply to the entire word or paragraph in which the insertion point is located, and only that word or paragraph.
