The University Student Union and NASPA Region VI invite all Matadors to pursue equity and justice on campus at Transforming Hispanic Serving Institutions with Dr. Gina Garcia. During this virtual workshop, Dr. Garcia — a CSUN alumna, leading scholar on Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) and currently associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh — will explore ways to create concrete, lasting changes in the pursuit of equity and justice for our Latinx community at CSUN. This engaging workshop will include hands-on activities aimed at fostering ideas for what transformation looks like on campus, guided by Dr. Garcia’s framework for transforming Hispanic Serving Institutions.
