Northridge- The Student Recreation Center (SRC) at the University Student Union (USU) invites the CSUN community to participate in some friendly Intramural competition this Fall semester at the SRC. You can compete and make new friends in a variety of different sports. All current CSUN students, faculty and staff are eligible to register online as a team or sign up as a free agent from now until Friday, Sept. 9.
Everyone who participates loves Intramural sports because it gives you a chance to be stay active while having fun with a little competition among friends, developing lifelong relationships,” said Devin Barnett, Intramurals Coordinator. “This program provides a safe and friendly environment to compete in the sport of your choice.”
Intramural sports this fall include indoor soccer, 5-on-5 basketball, floor hockey, indoor volleyball, flag football and ultimate Frisbee. Even if you don’t want to commit to a full Intramurals league, you can still register for one of our One-day Intramural Tournaments! You can choose to take part in flag football classic, billiards, soccer skills or a “Punt Kick Pass” competition, as well as Noontime Field Day games for a fun one-day event.
To register for your desired Intramural league or one-day tournament, just go to www.IMleagues.com or download the Rec It App. The semester registration fee is only $7 for students and $12 for faculty and staff. Past participants will still need to sign up for the new semester and renew their IM pass before their first game.
Don’t see a sport offered this season that you would love to play a tournament in? Just email Intramurals at regarding the sport you want to see in Intramurals and there may be a special event tournament for that specific sport!
All games will be held in the SRC and spectators are welcome to attend and cheer on their fellow Matadors. Winners in each sport will be awarded an SRC intramural championship shirt for their victory.
