It’s the perfect time to step your way into 2021 during the New Year Step Challenge with the Student Recreation Center of the University Student Union. It’s another great program for Matadors during our special Swing Into Spring event! With your team of up to ten members, you and your friends can get active and step your way to victory by accumulating points along the way. Every member of the team with the highest total step count at the end of the challenge will each walk away with a $25 Amazon gift card. The individual with the most steps overall will win an Intramural Sports Hoodie. Plus, everyone who participates will also go home with an IM Sports Towel just for playing and be entered in a raffle for awesome running accessories!
To join the fun, register on IMLeagues with your team or as a free agent and create an account on Discord to join the Intramural Sports server. Then, download the Pacer app on your mobile device to track your steps when the challenge begins.
Be sure to take advantage of this special New Year’s Day opportunity: All steps accumulated on Friday, Jan. 1 will be doubled and added to your team and individual totals. So, get out there the first day of the year to rack up those extra points for the New Year Step Challenge by the SRC!
