Get Fruved! Mini-Grant (2017-2018)

Fruved was a USDA grant-funded, student-led project to help students manage their weight and live healthier lives by focusing on healthy eating, physical activity and stress management. Fruved uses a community-based participatory research model, where students work alongside health professionals to develop and implement programming and outreach events for the campus community.

Fruved provided 50+ students (Health Promotion interns, Peer Health Educators, Peer Nutrition Counselors) experiential learning opportunities in grant management, marketing, conducting of campus environmental audits, collaboration with campus partners and student organizations, advocacy, and outreach experience. We continue Fruved programming today.
