Donation Links
Thank you for your interest in donating to the Department of Geological Sciences at California State University Northridge. The department has the following funds to which you can donate:
- Department of Geological Sciences (A3168) – Supports fieldwork and attendance at professional meetings for geology students.
- Geological Sciences Scholarship Endowment (E2339) – Provides scholarships to geology students.
- Geological Sciences Geochemistry (A3194) – Supports travel and analytical costs for students and faculty doing research in geochemistry.
- Fritsche GeoTrek Endowment (E2324) – Provides scholarships to geology students in honor of Sue and Gene Fritsche.
- GEMS – Encouraging the Geological Experience of Minority Students
Betty Leach & Charles Leach Scholarship in Geology Endowment
- Scholarships in Geology; preference will be given to students who have demonstrated interest in mineralogy.
Department of Geological Sciences Scholarship Endowment
- Scholarships to majors in the Department of Geological Sciences.
Lorraine Wyler Memorial Award Endowment

Scholarship for a graduating senior in Geology, focused on the most improved student in their class.
Gene and Sue Fritsche GeoTrek Scholarship Endowment
- Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in geological sciences.
- Awardees must be involved with research involving field mapping and/or sedimentology.
Hanna Summer Student Research Endowment
- Support scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate students doing research during the summer months.
Frank and Marilyn Hanna Geological Field Studies Endowment
- Supporting summer field camps and supporting introductory level field trips.
Mike and Mary Werner Geological Field Studies Endowment
- Provides funding to support class-related field-trips for summer and other department courses.
Doug Yule Memorial Field Camp Fund
- Supports students in field work activities in memory of the late Dr. Doug Yule.
General unrestricted support for the Department of Geological Sciences
Hanna Graduate Fellowship Endowment

Provides tuition, fees, and stipend support for two years of study. The fellowship shall be awarded to the top-ranked new graduate student in the Department of Geological Sciences.

Faculty-led initiative focused on improving the Geological Experience for Marginalized Students.

Undergraduate-led club for Geological Sciences majors.
