CSUN Government and Community Relations is responsible for regular engagement of state legislators as it pertains to promoting the university, tracking legislation and state budget advocacy efforts. By strengthening our relationships with policymakers and highlighting the contributions of CSUN students, faculty, staff and alumni, we are able to demonstrate how critical California's budgetary investment is to CSUN and the CSU system as a whole.
State relations activities that support these efforts include a Legislator to Campus program, joint higher education advocacy efforts, regular district office meetings with legislators and staff, and CSUN leadership visits to the State Capitol.
