Family Focus Resource Center began 2024 with a 4-part Early Start Parent Leadership Training, where 12 parents participated in learning about the history of the developmental disability system in California, how to advocate for their children, and how to meaningfully participate in public meetings, hearings and decision-making bodies.
In addition, they hosted 3 family playdates for families with young children.
Assistant Professor of Special Education Connie Wong presented a workshop for our 38 of our families, "Top Things to Know about Universal Preschool, TK, & Inclusion Opportunities".
They also hosted an All Abilities Resource Fair in Lancaster on March 16th at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park, and were proud sponsors of the CalTASH conference in Sacramento this March.
