Our Mission
The Family Focus Resource Center understands and strengthens families raising children with disabilities through education, advocacy, and family support services.
We serve the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys.
The Family Focus Resource Center understands and strengthens families raising children with disabilities through education, advocacy, and family support services.
FFRC is housed within the Michael D. Eisner College of Education at the California State University, Northridge. Programs are sustained through grant funding, sponsorships and donations.
The FFREC is honored by its ongoing association with the Teaching, Learning, and Counseling Consortium (TLC). The consortium consists of the following programs:
- The Berke Assessment Center
- Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic
- Special Education Literacy Laboratory and Educational Therapy Clinic
- Los Angeles Times Literacy Center
Advisory Committee
The Family Focus Resource Center Advisory Committee provides feedback on the work that we do, the issues in our community, and how we can best use our resources to help. Our Advisory Committee has members from each of the three Valleys we serve.

- Santa Clarita Valley
Advisory Committees meet in the Fall and Spring each year. If you are a parent of a child with disabilities, or a professional who works with children or youth with disabilities, and would like to be considered for our Advisory Committee, please contact victoria.berrey@csun.edu.
