Engineering Machine Shop
The CECS Engineering Shops consist of the Machine Shop, Wood Shop, Welding Booth and the Electronic Shop. Only the Machine Shop is available for use by students (after proper training). The Engineering Shop technicians are available to assist faculty, staff and students to support instructional, research, and senior design project needs as well as generally supporting the physical operational needs of the CECS.

A Technical Shop Work Request form must be filled out for job tracking purposes. This form is to be used for all technical, instructional, and operational support requests. The form is available in each of the department offices as well as the Engineering Shop facilities. Students must have their professors' approval signature before the request will be considered.

The welding area and its services are the responsibility of (position currently open). Welding technologies include Tig, Mig, Gas, Heli-Arc and Spot Welding. We have a large cut-off saw and a chop saw in this area as well as two forklifts.
