Courses/Weekly Themes


Program Dates: June 24 - July 26, 2024
5-week registration: opens March 1, 2024
Single-week registration: opens April 1, 2024 (if spots available)

Our summer academic enrichment program is implemented through four different courses each day: Arts & Crafts, Language Arts, Science, and Music & Performing Arts. The courses are designed by a team of credentialed teachers addressing a different weekly theme. 

The weekly themes for 2024 are: “Super Heroes,”  “POP! goes America,” “Middles Ages," “Communication: Pass it on!,” and “Olympic Games.”

Super Heroes ~ (June 24 - 28)

 

Students will explore both real-life heroes and fictional characters who exemplify courage and compassion for others.


POP! goes America ~ (July 1 -3) 


Students will interact with American pop culture from the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. 

Middle Ages ~ (July 8-12) 

Explore across continents during the Middle Ages: Castles, Catapults, Fairy Tales and Folklore!

Communication: Pass it On! ~ (July 15-19)

Explore how people have communicated over the centuries and over vast distances. 

Olympic Games ~ (July 22-26)

Summer Olympics come to SAPESS! Students will explore the history, science, and community of the great athletic event.
