We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. Jennifer Vargas Pemberton, Diane Gerhart, Sheree Shraeger at the International Convention of Psychological Science

Jennifer Vargas Pemberton, Diane Gerhart, and Sheree Shraeger recently presented at the International Convention of Psychological Science, speaking on "Using Virtual Reality to Prepare Clinicians Working with Vulnerable Populations". This symposium presented the SIMPACT Immersive Learning Program, a virtual/mixed reality methodology that has important implications for enhancing the mental health treatment approaches.  Read more

This week, the Klotz Student Health Center’s Annual Safe Spring Break Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, 11am-2pm in the Cleary Walk East (near the Matador statue). Please see and share the event flyer. Also on Wednesday, March 13th, we will offer another inspirational half hour including meditation on from 1:30-2PM in the CTL conference room with Josh Einhorn. This week, we are fortunate to have a wonderful presentation on meditation and breathing to reduce stress this Tuesday, March 5th from 12-1 in 1214. This presentation especially offers self-care strategies for educators and staff, so please consider attending. And lunch is provided!
