We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. We have much to celebrate as we send forth our students to make positive contributions to our world!

Become a State Certified Sexual Assault Counselor

MFT Students and Community: Attend our 60-hour virtual training and become a State Certified Sexual Assault Counselor.

Volunteer sexual assault counselors provide:

- Crisis counseling on our 24-hour hotline and onsite emotional support at medical exams, police stations and courts to survivors of sexual violence.
- One 6.5 hour hotline shift per week.
- Attend monthly advocate supervision.
- Counselors do not need any previous training or experience.
MFT Volunteers will also: 
- Facilitate individual and group counseling for survivors of trauma

StrengthUnited lobbies Elected Officials for support of Family Justice Center’s

At the beginning of March, StrengthUnited visited with our local State Elected Officials and their staff in Sacramento. We went to the capital to lobby in support of a one-time 10 million dollar budget request for continued state funding for Family Justice Centers (FJC) across California, authored by Assemblymember Tim Grayson. At the moment, California is home to 24 centers, with 10 centers opening in the near future. StrengthUnited opened the first FJC in Los Angeles County and is located in Van Nuys, California....
