In the meantime, our college is still committed to celebrating everyone who completed their programs. Each department put together some kind of virtual celebration for their students, such as congratulatory videos, special messages on their websites and social media platforms, and mailed completion packets. We want to celebrate you all and recognize your many achievements! Read about our virtual celebrations and recognitions

We are very pleased to congratulate Deaf Studies graduate Heaven Barnett on receiving the 2020 Outstanding Graduating Senior Award. This award is annually presented to students from the undergraduate class whose combined record of academic achievement, service to the campus, and service to the community, exemplify the highest standards. By tradition, the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award is bestowed upon recipients during the Honors Convocation Ceremony. It is our hope to maintain that tradition by presenting this award when we are able to do so in the future for the class of 2019-20. In the meantime, however, we celebrate you right now and want to share this good news with our campus community.

Some teachers have not only kept the learning happening but they are rocking the pandemic teaching. To showcase the great teaching across Los Angeles, we created the Outstanding Pandemic Teaching Awards for exemplary teachers during these difficult times.
