Free Financial Literacy Course - English

StrengthUnited will host our third Financial Literacy Course, sponsored by MoneyW!se, and taught by the San Diego Financial Literacy Center. This course will be facilitated in English, taking place on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM beginning on Thursday, April 22, and ending on June 3.

Congratulation  to Brian Foley and Norm Herr, who have been awarded $1,199,255 by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the project entitled, “CSUN Noyce: Extending and Enhancing the STEM Teacher Pipeline through a Community of Learners and Virtual Lesson Study.” Co-Principal Investigators on this project are Virginia Oberholzer-Vandergon and Kellie Evans from the College of Math and Science. In an interview for the World Anti-Bullying Forum, Dr. Kumashiro stated that we need to “challenge the stories that often fuel discrimination, inequity & injustice.” In this one hour virtual presentation, former Dean of the University of San Francisco's School of Education, Dr. Kumashiro will provide a powerful framework for thinking about the problem of injustice in complex ways.
