We are proud that the Michael D. Eisner College of Education remains one of the largest Colleges of Education in the CSU system, providing to our surrounding communities hundreds of outstanding new professionals in the fields of education, counseling, administration, and Deaf Studies. The Eisner College engages in transformative education and initiatives that put into practice our commitment to social justice, equity, access, and inclusion, and supporting the social-emotional well-being of university, school, and community members. I am grateful to our talented faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners, all instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our educational programs and community-serving centers. A Summer of Fun and Learning at CSUN

The Summer Academic Enrichment Program (SAEP) celebrated its 45th year this past summer! With over 250 secondary students on campus, SAEP offered 5-week classes ranging from 2D Computer Animation to Culinary to Watercolor. 

For the younger kids, the Summer Academic Program for Elementary School Students (SAPESS) held its 39th program this past summer! Eighty students enjoyed 5 weeks of English, arts and crafts, science, and theater arts in the Education building. Read more

It is with the mixed feelings a college dean experiences when a valued team member leaves our institution, that I announce to you, that Jaclyn Kietzman, our Graduate Recruitment Specialist, has accepted a position at Caltech as the Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions.  Her new role will take effect on August 28th.
