Jaclyn Kietzman

To the MDECOE Community and our colleagues across CSUN:

It is with the mixed feelings a college dean experiences when a valued team member leaves our institution, that I announce to you, that Jaclyn Kietzman, our Graduate Recruitment Specialist, has accepted a position at Caltech as the Senior Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions.

Jaclyn has served four years in our academic college and in that time has created and managed a social media presence, created new marketing assets, created a robust teacher credential pipeline with the K-14 sector, served as integral member of the CTEPP team, and has assisted countless of prospective future educators. Jaclyn’s moxie along with her experience and creativity got us through the pandemic where our enrollment numbers grew in most if not all our programs.

Jaclyn was a proud Matador prior to coming the College of Education family. She is a double alumnus from CSUN earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from our institution. She also served 11 years in Student Affairs while she worked in Student Outreach and Recruitment in different roles: GEAR UP Coordinator, Outreach Counselor, Guest Relations Coordinator, Outreach Coordinator. Her time in student affairs helped her find her passion for providing resources and tools to help students and their families reach their full potential.

Jaclyn also served in other capacities while at CSUN such as: USU Board of Directors, Staff Representative; member of the Student Affairs Appreciation Committee; and the CSU Native American Initiative. She was also selected as part of the inaugural cohort of the CSUN Shine from Within, a cross cross-divisional professional development program.

Jaclyn has been an important part of the Michael D. Eisner College of Education’s success over the past 4 years and we wish her well in her new professional role.  Please join me in thanking her for her service!
