38th Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference Has Concluded

September 2022

EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING

We hope you are looking forward to the 2023 CSUN AT Conference.  After seeing some of the incredible submissions we received for our Journal Track, General Sessions, and Pre-Conference Workshops, it is clear that next year’s conference will be a fantastic experience for all.  It is so encouraging to see new and returning presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors join us to help form our diverse community working for an inclusive world.

Additionally, many of you from the CSUN Conference community expressed interest in reviewing submissions to help shape the 2023 CSUN AT Conference.  We want to give special thanks to all of our reviewers for their time, input, and expertise.

The Calls for Papers and Presentations are now closed, and all submissions are currently being reviewed.  Acceptance notices for presentations will be sent out starting on Friday, October 28, and Presenter Registration will open on Tuesday, November 1.

The Center on Disabilities team continues to work to provide our attendees with the best possible experience.  Over the next couple of months, we will fill you in on all the details, including some new conference elements that will enhance your conference experience and create more community engagement.

HOTEL ROOM BLOCK OPENS SOON

Don’t forget to take advantage of the hotel room block at the Anaheim Marriott.  The block opens on Friday, October 21.  Make your reservation and secure your room early, as some nights may sell out quickly.  Visit our Venue page on the conference website for booking and rate details.

HELP US HONOR SOMEONE WHO HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE

There’s still time to send your nominations for the Strache Leadership Award.  We are looking for leaders in the field of disability and technology that actively shine when it comes to mentoring and educating students.  If you know a worthy candidate, submit them for consideration before October 18.

WELCOME NEW STAFF TO THE CENTER ON DISABILITIES

We are pleased to announce that Angelica Robles is joining the team as the Operations Manager.  Angelica worked for the Center on Disabilities for several years as a student assistant.  Her previous experience with the conference and Journal will provide strong support for the department.  Please welcome her back while at the conference in March!
