Food Pantry

The Food Pantry provides nourishment and basic necessities for CSUN students at no cost. It aims to minimize academic impact and help alleviate food insecurity within the campus community.

Oasis

The Oasis is a center for students to escape the stress of academics by offering nutrition counseling, meditation, massages, acupuncture, nap pods and workshops focused on wellness and managing stress.

Counseling Services

University Counseling Services (UCS) serves as a mental health resource for all CSUN students. The center offers initial evaluations, short-term counseling and psychotherapy, Wellness Workshops, group treatment, psychiatric services, crisis/urgent care services, and case management.

Klotz

The Klotz center offers a wide range of health care services to students, including but not limited to chiropractic care, acupuncture, physical therapy, dental services, optometry services, immunizations, and pregnancy counseling.

SRC

The Student Recreation Center is a facility for exercise and leisure activity that promotes lifelong health and wellness.

LRC

The Learning Resource Center at CSUN enables students to improve their academic performance through a variety of learning programs including workshops, one on one and group tutoring, and supplemental instruction classes.

Financial Aid

The mission of CSUN Financial Aid & Scholarship Department is to promote access to higher education by providing funding to eligible students in a timely manner. They are committed to providing service, guidance, and resources to help students get the money needed to reach their educational goals.

VITA

CSUN VITA Clinic is a cost-free income tax assistance service to low-income residents in the San Fernando Valley and beyond. They provide outstanding free tax preparation service to low-income taxpayers in our community and to provide our students with a quality experiential learning experience in the field of taxation.

CSUN Child Lab Center

The CSUN Child and Family Studies Center “Lab School” is an educational setting for young children (preschool-aged). They strive to provide a means to grow strong relationships between home and school for children of all abilities and stages of development. They utilize university students, faculty, and staff to also promote professional growth of educators. Their services are not free of cost, however they do provide a few options for times of attendance and rates of tuition.

Associated Students Children's Center

The Associated Students Children's Center is an early childhood education program located on CSUN’s campus. They provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children. Services for CSUN Student Parents are free of cost, and these services include organized programs and daycare.

University Police and Campus Police

CSUN has a police team dedicated to keeping the campus community safe. The Department of Policy Services has also partnered with Student Housing to form the Community Policing Team in the residential housing. You can call or text the number “911” during an emergency that requires immediate attention. For all other matters that are non-emergency situations, the CSUN Policed can be reached 24 hours a day at 818-677-2111.

Matador Patrol

CSUN has a program where you can request an escort at night to walk you to your desired location. The hours of operation are Monday - Thursday from dusk until 11:00 pm. In order to receive this service, please call 818-677-5042 and have your name, current location, contact number, and desired destination.

Blue Light Call Boxes

CSUN has over 75 emergency blue light call boxes located all over the campus. These call boxes are linked to the campus police dispatcher, so when the call box is activated, campus police will be alerted of your location and send help right away.

Self Defense

CSUN offers a variety of self defense course at class. The R.A.D. Program stands for Rape Aggression Defense with over 3,000 certified instructors and 100,000 participants. The R.A.D. program is taught at over 450 colleges and universities, police departments, local transit companies, military bases, women's centers, rape crisis centers, and independents across the United States. CSUN offers a semester long class in the fall and spring semester and also a 12 hourlong course. CSUN also offers a few self defense courses on campus, please be sure to check out the course catalog and see what courses are available.

Student Leadership

The Student Leadership represents the student body, advocates its needs and defends its interests in dealings with faculty, campus administrators and government officials. AS Student leaders encourage shared governance, student advocacy and collaboration with other campus and community entities.

Children's Center

The AS Children's Center is a high-quality early childhood education program that provides a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of young children. The Children’s Center offers resources such as story time, family activities, and nutrition based classes.

Outdoor Adventures

CSUN Outdoor Adventures (OA) provides unique recreational opportunities to the CSUN community. Through Adventure Trips, RIDGE rock wall, Outdoor rental center, Matador bike shop, Team Building programs, workshops/clinics, Outdoor Leadership Program, and Camp Matador. Outdoor Adventures challenges our students to break away from the day-to-day routines and choose to embrace the opportunities for life-changing experiences that college is all about.

Productions

AS Productions brings the Matador spirit to life! From concerts, music festivals and cultural events to farmers markets, lectures and social media shows, we aim to bring quality events exclusively to CSUN Students. We provide students memorable and iconic opportunities to make the most of their college experience here at CSUN.

Sustainability

AS Sustainability supports and participates in various sustainability projects such as the award winning Sustainable Office Program, America Recycles Day: Race to Zero Waste, Matador Exchange, Swap and Pop, Trash Talkers, and hosting other educational events.

Sport Clubs

The Sport Clubs program provides CSUN students an opportunity to participate in regionally and nationally competitive sports and recreational activities. The program is designed to allow each CSUN student a chance to participate ina sports club individually or as a member of a team.

Ticket Office

The AS Ticket Office offers ticketing services for nearly all campus events, from athletics and comedy to theater, music and more. Discounted tickets to local movie theaters and theme parks are also available. In addition, the AS Ticket Office sells transit passes for Metro and the Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA).
