This film is currently being tested for its anti-bias value at California State University, Northridge. It won several awards on the film festival circuit, including a diversity award at the Long Beach Indie Film Festival 2016, the California Endowment Special Sons and Brothers Award for positive and balanced depictions of young men of color. -- PR Web

California State University, Northridge (CSUN) has incorporated sustainability into planning and administration, facilities and operations, education and curriculum, student government and life, research and innovation. Its 10-year sustainability plan is being actively implemented and progress of over 100 action items tracked. Sustainability studies can be pursued through a minor, general education options, or a track within a major. CSUN is leading climate adaptation within the community through its applied projects, innovative solutions, K-12 sustainability education, and a campus-community climate leadership task force. Sustainability practices and solutions are shared with the extended community through a comprehensive website, events, national organizations and social media. -- AASCU

Other SoCal student productions followed over the years at San Fernando Valley State College (now Cal State Northridge), Cal State L.A., California Institute of the Arts and Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara. Professional productions from San Francisco and Boston toured L.A. in the 1960s, both one-night stands. Another curiosity is that while serving as music directors of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Alfred Wallenstein in 1953 and Esa-Pekka Salonen in 1996 conducted notable productions of the “Rake” overseas, but never at home. -- Los Angeles Times
