Is ‘Hollyweed’ sign guy a former SLO pot deliveryman?

In the Vice interview, which was published on Jan. 3, Fernandez said he carried out the prank to pay homage to Danny Finegood, a then-Cal State Northridge art student, who in 1976, created the original “Hollyweed” sign. Finegood received an A+ in his Cal State Northridge art class for his "environmental sculpture" work on the sign. Jesus Hands received a pound of Chong's Choice, Tommy Chong's cannabis brand, from the man himself, not to mention a misdemeanor trespassing charge. In an interview two days later with the online magazine Vice, Fernandez - - who goes by the moniker Jesus Hands" -- said the effort was inspired by a similar 1976 alteration of the sign carried out by Cal State Northridge art student Danny Finegood, who changed the sign to "Hollyweed" as part of a school art project in response to a recent relaxation of marijuana laws.
