Those visual tasks were at the Conceptual level.
To make them Symbolic tasks, words would have to be involved as follows:
Receptive: To demonstrate (by pointing a finger) the ability to recognize a particular object (picture) that corresponds to a given word. This is tantamount to the Look-Say approach to reading.
