Application for Degree to the Master's Program


Who Can Apply?

You can apply to enter the DE program if you:

1) Have 30 hours as a post-baccalaureate student or as part of bachelor's degree studies in Communication Disorders.

2) Are employed in a school district or can meet practica requirements in a work setting.

3) Can satisfy traditional admissions requirements, including review of official transcripts, successful completion of the GRE or MAT, letters of reference, and a letter of intent.

4) Have a late-model PC, and Internet connection, a television, VCR and fax capability.


How To Apply

Application Requirements for Admission to Graduate Distance Education Program:

Step 1. Apply to California State University, Northridge

1) Provide application to CSUN through Admissions and Records with applicable fee.

2) Provide official transcripts of all college and university work

3) Provide verification of UDWE if you have attended a California State University

Step 2. Take the GRE


Step 3. Apply to the Communication Disorders and Sciences Department

1) Complete Departmental Application Form-the departmental application can be requested from CDS department via e-mail.  Items 2-7 must be collected and sent together as ONE package to the Communicative Disorders and Sciences(CDS) department office by the deadline.

2) Provide three letters of reference.

3) Provide official verification of ASHA clinical hours including observation hours.

4) Provide Statement of Intent.

5) Provide verification of UDWE if you have attended a California State University.

6) Provide official transcripts of all college and university work.

7) Provide results from current (within five years) Graduate Records Examination or results from current (within five years) Miller's Analogy Test (800-622-3231).
