The San Fernando Science Project (SFVSP) at Cal State Northridge (CSUN) offers $650 stipend and $75 in supplies to train teacher leader teams (3 teachers, grades 6-8) per middle school in Science Content Standards leadership workshops. The workshops will emphasize California Science Content Standards in Biology, Earth Science, Physical Science and Chemistry. Teachers will be trained in the use of Computer Supported Collaborative Science (CSCS) techniques that allow students to collect science data and collaborate with their peers to analyze and draw conclusions. In addition, the workshop will focus on teacher leadership development and strategies to teach science for English Language Learners (ELL).
Dates: July 14-23 (8:30 am – 4:30pm)
