Description: This course primarily focuses on the operations and institutions of
economic systems, rather than household or business management or
budgeting. It will deepen students' understanding of the economic
problems and institutions of the nation and world in which they live.
Measurement concepts and methods of tables, charts, graphs, ratios,
percentages, and index numbers will be introduced. Students will be
taught common economic terms, concepts, and reasoning. They will learn
to make reasoned decisions on economic issues as citizens, workers,
consumers, business owners, and managers.
