Discover QTPOC Organizations of CSUN and the San Fernando Valley With Food, Art and Music by Going Around the Block with QTPOC

MEDIA ALERT

WHAT: The Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) in collaboration with the Asian American Studies department, Asian American Studies Pathways Project, CSUN Black House, Veterans Resource Center (VRC) and DREAM Center invites our CSUN community to go Around the Block with QTPOC. Matadors can come enjoy food, art and a DJ from local creative QTPOC members. Nur Fahlevi Pratama will also conduct a QTPOC ensemble, which features works by other QTPOC composers. 

WHO: Whitney Workman, Acting Pride Center Coordinator, is supervising this event. 

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. 

WHERE: Black House 

WHY: This event brings the CSUN community together to show QTPOC students that they can have many different spaces to feel welcome, seen and hears while also having the opportunity to connect with other QTPOC students. 

BACKGROUND: The Pride Center encourages QTPOC students to discover and support QTPOC vendors and community organizations at Around the Block with QTPOC. Students must RSVP before the event. For more information, please visit csun.edu/pride.
