Presidential Search

Dr. Erika D. Beck appointed sixth president of California State University, Northridge.

The California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees has appointed Erika D. Beck, Ph.D., to serve as president of California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

The California State University conducted a nationwide search for the next President of California State University, Northridge following CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison’s decision to step away from the presidency. President Harrison announced on March 30 that she had accepted the request to remain at the university through fall 2020 to ensure continuity of leadership during the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19.

The Presidential Search Committee was established under CSU policy, by the former chair of the CSU Trustees, Adam Day, and Chancellor Timothy White.
