Course Description: ChemLabs is a discovery/inquiry-based course, and it requires students to work collaboratively in teams to carry out specific lab activities based on the scientific method. Students will create their own hypotheses, create experimental protocols, collect data, and arrive at their own inferences based on their observations/data. They will communicate their findings to the whole group using a detailed report/presentation. As students progress through the course, they will improve their organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, develop their creative and problem-solving abilities, and gain a deeper understanding of the experimental design process.
