Surpassing Our Teacher Education Enrollment Goals

There is a severe teacher shortage in our schools, leaving many students in classrooms without prepared educators to move them toward academic success. The Michael D. Eisner College of Education provided the most new teachers hired by LAUSD this year of any College of Education with 19% of the 3108 teachers hired from CSUN. This was possible because as one of the largest California State University Colleges of Education, we met and surpassed teacher education enrollment goals for the second year in a row.
