Dear Principal Investigators:
Below is a message from TUC Human Resources about Code of Professional Conduct and general Rules of Conduct. Though this has been sent to all active TUC employees on January 31, 2022, please feel free to forward this to your sponsored project employees.
Now that the new semester is underway, we thought it would be a good time to remind everyone about our Code of Professional Conduct and General Rules of Conduct (which includes Whistleblower Protection).
For reference here are links to the policies:
If you have information regarding possible unethical and/or illegal activity, violations of state or federal statutes, rules, or regulations, or violations of fiduciary responsibility by TUC, we encourage you to report immediately to your supervisor, manager, TUC Human Resources or TUC Executive Director so that we may investigate.
If you prefer to remain anonymous then you can contact The Network. The Network, Inc. provides our employees with a confidential “Ethics Hotline”. This hotline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. You can make reports online or by telephone.

A tip line is one of the most effective tools an organization has for detecting and preventing fraud- but it only works if employees trust the system. Please be assured that The Network, Inc. is an independent reporting service and if you make a report you do not have to give your name. A customized Web form or professional interview specialist from The Network, Inc. will document your concern and relay the information to The University Corporation for follow up. Complaints are taken seriously and with the utmost discretion to assure they are handled properly.
Our goal is to provide a safe, professional and supportive work environment for our employees.
If you have any questions on this service or how it works, you may contact The University Corporation Human Resources Department at tuchr@csun.edu.
Sincerely,
Grace Slavik
Director, Sponsored Programs Administration & Systems Improvements
