The Institute for Sustainability is collaborating with the Mission Resource Conservation District to provide tools, information and training for citizens to maximize the carbon sequestration of their landscape systems. The Mission of the technical assistance center is to research, develop and deliver science based, region specific information and technologies to land-owners, conservation districts, cities, Counties and State governments to inspire actions to tune up the carbon sequestration performance for current landscape, agriculture, orchard and rangeland properties. MRCD will provide technical support for the rapid improvement of our current irrigated landscape systems and dry land agriculture systems, by providing support to tune up our currently managed lands we could double the current carbon sequestration of these critical assets.
