Just when we thought things could not get worse as a result of the pandemic, our world turned upside down. The Michael D. Eisner College of Education is committed to practicing equity, access, inclusion, and social justice, and championing these rights for all people. The mission of the College of Education and the ethical and professional standards of all of our educational programs embrace these values as essential for the well-being of our students and the community that we serve. As a College of Education, we promote these basic rights, and encourage our students to do the same as they go forward in their professional careers. One of the best ways to make a difference right now is by engaging in acts that change the world for the better. Please view the youtube video below entitled “Social Justice Belongs In Our Schools” by Sydney Chaffee, 2017 National Teacher of the Year, the resource link about “how to talk to your child about race and inequality”, and an article from the National Association of School Psychologists regarding “action to end racism and violence against people of color”. Our college hopes to provide socio-emotional and other resources soon in response to the social injustices that our country is experiencing. Together, let’s change the world for the better!
