Dear Principal Investigators and Research Administrators:
After more than 2 years of dedicated service at TUC, Michael Epping will be moving to the campus side in the Research & Sponsored Programs Pre-Award office as Grants Specialist beginning Monday, September 16, 2019. Mike has been the Post-Award liaison here at TUC for David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, Biology, Geological Sciences, and Mathematics departments at the College of Science and Math, and College of Health and Human Development. During his time at TUC, Mike has built a reputation as a skillful, reliable, and customer-service oriented colleague. We are happy for his new opportunity and wish him all the best in his new position.
With this change, we have allocated liaison assignments to the other members of our team. Joining Dakota and Matt as new liaisons, Nicholas (Nick) Nugent and Cristian Contreras will be part of our liaison team. Nick, who received his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and his MA from CSU Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), worked previously as a Program Coordinator for the CSUDH Graduate Writing Center while also coordinating the Research Assistant program at CSUDH. Cristian, who joined the team as an Administrative Analyst in January, holds a double major in Management and Marketing from CSUN and previously worked in the Athletics department, and David Nazarian College of Business and Economics Dean’s office.
TUC has also begun the search process for a new Post-Award Analyst Associate, who will be assisting the department with liaison and compliance duties. During the search, the liaison responsibilities will be as follows:

We would also like to take this time to thank all who responded regarding the eTime conversion and electronic W2 initiatives. Inspired by a suggestion from one of our PIs (thank you, Dr. Nola Kennedy!), we have created a web form for the electronic W-2 consent form. Please ensure to use your CSUN email address for verification and kindly remember that this W-2 consent form only applies to W-2 issued by TUC (not campus side). Please forward this to your employees who work in your sponsored project.
